The European food system has been directly affected by events such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as global food security. In this context, it is of utmost importance to accelerate the transformation of our food systems towards resilient and sustainable practices and to promote short, regional food value chains wherever possible.
That is why we would like to invite you to our event “Healthy and Secure Food – Ideas for Regional and Sustainable Food Systems” on 23 April 2024 at the Representation of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen to the EU in Brussels. In the course of this event, we will explore strategies at European, national and regional level to develop regional and sustainable food systems. We would also like to focus on how vulnerable households can gain better access to seasonal and locally produced food and participate in the creation of sustainable food systems.
